"Glittering crowds and shimmering clouds / In canyons of steel / They're making me feel / I'm home."
So sang Frank Sinatra in Autumn in New York, and we can’t help but love the city in fall. The weather is (usually) perfect and the leaves are starting to turn. And this year… you all are coming!
We can’t wait to see you. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions on travel to and within the city, or would like advice on booking a hotel. The website booking.com is a good place to start. If you are traveling from the UK, don’t forget to check you have an up-to-date ESTA authorisation to enter the US.
The wedding and rehearsal dinner are both taking place in the Financial District, at the southernmost tip of Manhattan, as per the map below. The area is well served by subways, especially to the Fulton Street transport hub. The closest station to One Hanover Square is Wall Street on the 2 or 3 train. Gigino at Wagner Park is a short walk from Rector Street on the 1 train or Bowling Green on the 4 or 5 trains.
There are hundreds of hotels across the city, with options for most budgets, but for those who are wishing to stay close to the wedding venue, we would recommend the Hampton Inn on Pearl Street as the best value in the area.
It also has the advantage of being a few minutes walk away from the bars and restaurants of historic Stone Street.
Our favourite website for all things New York, including detailed travel and accommodation information and lots (and lots and lots) of things to do, is nycgo.com. We hope you enjoy exploring, and if there is anything we can do to help, don’t hesitate to email at stephen@foley.co.uk.
